Making Choices

I have been told that my blog posts are negative. If this is the case, I am so sorry. My intention has never been to make anyone feel down. I have only shared as an outlet to write through some of my thoughts and feelings. I felt I have appreciated the input and the feedback from everyone after the posts. I tend to be a realist, but also try to make sure I give a positive and uplifting twist to the posts as a way to make it through and process. With that being said, I would like to continue on, and thank everyone who has read and commented. It means a lot!

I am writing this post about struggling to make choices and decisions. Some of you might can relate. Whether it is about what restaurant to go to for a girls’ night, which car to buy, where to join a church family, which job to take, or other major life decisions. I find myself doubting some things that I have never thought about before. This is something that I am really frustrated with myself about lately. I also have several things that race through my mind about my present situations, about my future, and about the perfect plan the Lord has for me. I realized that I am not relying on, nor going to the Lord for direction like I know I should.
This caused me to go to The Word.
This is what I found; be encouraged:

Psalm 25:9He leads the humble in justice, and He teaches the humble His way.
John 14:16
" And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 2:6-9
For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice, And He preserves the way of His godly ones. Then you will discern righteousness and justice and equity and every good course.
Psalm 25:12-
Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.
John 16:13
"But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.
Philippians 2:13
for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure
James 1:5
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Jeremiah 29:11 -
'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
Proverbs 16:9-
The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.

I have come to the conclusion that I have not been seeking after the Lord with all I am and bringing even the small things to Him recently. This has turned into really forgetting to bring things to Him at all, hoping to learn to manage myself. It’s as if I forgot how to truly follow after His will and go to Him for guidance. I start back today. Not being able to handle choices on my own is no negative; it’s the way I was made. God, created us to draw near to Him. The smaller decisions.....I will just make with more decisive resolutions.  I Love you all and remember to seek after the Lord and He will direct our paths!
